Seeing Spots . . . On the Big Screen

Probably the most famous Dalmatian film is Walt Disney's 1996 adaptation of Dodie Smith's novel, The One Hundred and One Dalmatians, retitled 101 Dalmatians. The film spawned such a Dalmatian craze that, after it came out, animal shelters across America were flooded with young adult Dals who had outgrown their cute puppy stage and turned out not to be born with the same training Pongo had.

There are many other films featuring Dals (though some only in very small roles) and here's a list for all you fans of the "carriage dog."
